Michael Lyness

Michael has been an invaluable part of the Goudsmit UK team for over three years, first staring off as a Sales Engineer, then onto our New Business Development Executive and is now our Business Development Manager. Michael’s been working in the industry for several years now, with his technical background Michael’s primely positioned to understand our customers needs and technical requirements. This, coupled with Michael’s communication skills enables him to ensure all quotations issued and parts delivered always meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.

Michael’s job role covers all aspects of new sales at Goudsmit UK, from sourcing and generating opportunities to building valuable new business for the company. With his excellent organisational skills, Michael excels in his role within the company.

While Michael’s job is often challenging due to the niche market we operate in, Michael finds his job both exciting and rewarding. No single project is the same in this industry, which is Michael’s favourite part of the job. Magnets are found absolutely everywhere, one day he’s working on a project for specialised magnets for medical applications and the next it could be for the latest transport revelation, Hyperloop.

Outside of the office, Michael’s favourite time is spent with his Wife Hannah and their Cockapoo Ralfie. Michael’s also a whiskey enthusiast, collecting and selling rare bottles of whiskey.
